Vacances Tranquille is the realisation of our dreams and we want to share it with you.
We have 2 Gites for you to choose from in Normandy  and a beautiful Trois Epis (3 Ears of Corn!) Chambre d'Hôte, which is registered with Gite de France and, new for 2012, we have a Chalet in the mountains.

Just think how nice it would be to sit by our lovely pool, drink a glass of ice cold wine and soak up the relaxing Normandy atmosphere!
 

However, to ensure guests safety and meet regulations, keep the temperature of the water higher and cleaner, we do not normally pull the pool cover back unless the weather is exceptionally hot. The pool cover keeps the water a good 5 degrees warmer and means it can even be used on grey days. For those of you who want to sit and dangle your feet in the water, the cover is plenty high enough for you to do so and also enables you to watch the children swim. The pool is open from May to September depending on the weather - it can be chilly if we haven't had much sun!

And, new for 2012, we are delighted to introduce Brittany Borders Bicycling - www.brittanybordersbicycling.com  Quality bicycle hire and cycling tours in Brittany and Normandy. You can choose your preferred style of bicycle, including tandems from their site and it will be delivered to your Gite together with suggested routes and other information.

And for something completely different, we have a beautiful chalet in the French Alps set in the Beaufortain and with views of Mont Blanc just 100 yards up the road and incredible walks and mountain villages to explore.

We have bought our Gites in this wonderful area of Normandy to allow our guests to enjoy the coast, the countryside and fascinating towns, cities and pretty villages. All are within easy access of the main ferry ports, Cherbourg, Ouistreham (Caen),  and St Malo (at most 1.5 hours drive) and Le Harve (about 2.5 hours) and we can offer a discount to our visitors using Brittany Ferries for holidays and short breaks.

Or why not take advantage of the cheap flights offered by Easy Jet and fly to Rennes airport. It is very easy to hire a car so take a look at this link France car hire.

For the chalet in the Alps you can fly to Geneva or Lyon or drive from Calais on excellent roads making it part of your holiday

We have stayed in numerous holiday homes ourselvesand seen what is really good and
what is unacceptable and we have furnished our Gites to meet all your requirements for
a truly memorable and relaxing holiday.

All our houses are in quiet locations. The picture on the right shows part of the 5 acres at La Hantraye, which are your's to enjoy and wander in during your stay.

We have also tried to provide very flexible accomodation which allows families and
friends to take a break together but live in separate accommodation, or for
independant families to use the properties and not feel crowded by people they do
not know. At La Hantraye our Chambre d'Hote adds another dimension to our flexibility and allows Grandma and Grandpa to participate in your holiday and yet allows you all your own space. Choose a traditioinal weekly rental, or any number of days starting any day of the week but depending on other bookings.

There are good mattresses, quilts and pillows, the showers are hot and there is enough china, glass and cutlery for you to sample all the local delicacies! There are televisions with UK channels and DVD players and plenty of games, puzzles and books and of course a cork screw to help you sample the wine!

There is free internet connection for anyone who brings their laptop on holiday and loads of information about what to see and do locally.

Our prices include electricity and bed linen and the beds are made up ready for your arrival - we offer a reduction should you wish to bring your own bedding. We also welcome pets at  our houses but they must, however, be kept under control at all times.

We are flexible about the start day of your holiday and you can check availability to
