2006 was spent transforming our large barn (guest accommodation) and former pig house (where we live!) into a small but very comfortable Bed and Breakfast. We have tried to incorporate all the 'home-from-home' comforts you get in the best country hotels and have even bought a supply of hotwater bottles should you not find your room quite warm enough in winter! All 3 bedrooms have en-suite shower rooms, tea and coffee making facilities and wifi connectivity for those who cannot bear to be parted from their laptops! The renovation has included an amazing amount of insulation to ensure warmth in winter, central heating and a good hot water supply. We have a large sitting room with a dining area for breakfast and a terrace for summer meals, UK television is provided in the public area and you will also be able to use our swimming pool. The house is non-smoking but there are plenty of places outside to go and enjoy a quiet cigarette. The house is set in 5 acres of gardens and orchards and we have sheep and chickens who love to meet our guests. We have 2 gites on-site and croquet and boules to keep everyone entertained. Breakfast will consist of a variety of breads, pastries, cereals etc and will change to reflect season and traditions, Price is for 2 people in a room with breakfast included. For single occupancy there is a 5 euro reduction. Large double with en-suite - 57 euros per night. Double with en-suite - 52 euros per night. Twin room with en-suite facilities - 52 euros per night There is a large selection of places to eat within 5kms of our home and the lovely town of St Hilaire du Harcouet has an excellent selection of bars and entertainment - cinema and Theatre.
Our swimming pool is now fully open and is ideal for unwinding after a long drive!

Bedroom one is well appointed and has a lovely en-suite shower room. Tea and coffee is available in the guest area all times and there is also a guest fridge for you to put your beers to cool or a nice bottle of sparkling wine. Glasses are on hand as well as a cork screw!
You can rest in comfort and shower in style! Hairdryers, hotwater bottles and green tea available on request.
Bedroom two is very comfortable and has a lovely shower room. There are plenty of books throughout the house to help you sit and relax and you can help yourself to tea and coffee facilities in the guest area throughout your stay.
Bedroom three has got twin beds (which can be pushed together) and a lovely shower room. 
Good central heating, comfortable mattresses and an excellent shower ensure you have a wonderful stay in La Hantraye. Not to mention a good breakfast!
The sitting room is comfortable and has a good woodburner for the winter!
